Streaming service says you're not in the UK? Get a fresh IP

If a streaming service suddenly says you're not in the UK (or an IPTV service stops working), you usually just need a fresh UK IP address — and you can give yourself one instantly.

Why this works

Every UK server on our network has its own IP address. Switching to a different UK server gives your connection a brand-new IP in seconds — no waiting, no ticket.

VPN Router users

  1. Log in at libertyshield.com and open Manage Router.

  2. Select a different UK server from the list.

  3. Power the router off for 10 seconds, then back on.

  4. Restart your streaming device (or at least the app) so it sees the new IP.

App users (Windows, Mac, iPhone, Android)

  1. Disconnect the VPN.

  2. Pick a different UK server from the Server Location list.

  3. Reconnect, then fully restart the streaming app.

Still blocked on the new IP?

  • Disable IPv6 on the viewing device (or set DNS to Automatic) — IPv6 can leak your real location.

  • iPhone/iPad: the app may be checking GPS, which a VPN can't hide — turn off Location Services for that app, or use the browser instead.

Still stuck? Contact us with this ready

If the steps above haven't fixed it, raise a ticket — including the details below lets us fix most issues in one reply instead of three:

  • Which service is blocked and the exact error message/code.

  • Which server you're on now and which you switched from.

We'll refresh the affected IP on our side — reporting it helps every customer on that server.
