Our Fire TV app runs on 2nd-generation Fire Sticks and newer (the ones with Alexa remotes). 1st-generation Fire TV devices can't run it — use a VPN Router with those instead.
Install and connect
-
On the Fire TV, search the Amazon Appstore for Liberty Shield VPN and install it.
-
Open the app and sign in with your Liberty Shield username and password.
-
Select the shield to connect — allow the VPN connection request the first time.
-
Restart your streaming apps so they pick up the new location.
Sign in with your Liberty Shield login

Changing your VPN country
-
Disconnect first, then open Server Location at the bottom of the app.
-
Choose your country and reconnect, then restart your streaming app.

Quick troubleshooting
-
WiFi drops or the app crashes? Power the Fire Stick from the original Amazon wall plug, not the TV's USB port — this is the hidden cause in most cases.

Won't sign in? Reset your password on the website.
