Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast/Google TV and most smart TVs can't run VPN apps — but they all work perfectly through a Liberty Shield VPN Router.

Set your VPN Router to the country you want (log in, select the flag, click Apply, then power-cycle the router).

In the device's network settings, join the VPN Router's WiFi.

Restart the device fully so its apps pick up the new location, then open your streaming app.
Note: On dual-band routers (Pro / Wifi 6 Pro), join the -5G network for 4K streaming.
Device tips

Apple TV: Settings > Network > Wi-Fi. If a UK app still disagrees about location, check the Apple Account region matches the country you want.

Roku: Settings > Network > Set up connection > Wireless. Roku accounts are region-locked at creation — a UK Roku account is needed for UK channels.

Chromecast / Google TV: Settings > Network & internet. Google Play region controls which apps you can install.
