Using WiFi Extenders with VPN Router

A WiFi extender can boost your VPN Router's WiFi to reach every corner of the house — devices connected through the extender are still on the VPN.

1. Set the extender up to repeat your Liberty Shield WiFi network (follow the extender's app or WPS pairing — a short press of the router's WPS button is safe).

2. Place the extender roughly halfway between the VPN Router and the weak-signal area.

3. Connect your devices to the extender's network (often your WiFi name with an -EXT suffix).

Note: Extenders halve throughput on the repeated hop — for 4K streaming in a far room, a Power line adapter or LAN cable performs better. 

On the Lite model especially, consider upgrading to a Pro/Pro 6 if WiFi range is a recurring problem.
