PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch don't support VPN apps or password-protected proxies — but there's a simpler answer that works for every console with zero console configuration.
Use a Liberty Shield VPN Router
-
Set your VPN Router to the country you want (log in, select the flag, click Apply, then power-cycle the router).
-
Connect the console to the VPN Router's WiFi, or a LAN cable into the router for the most stable gaming connection.
-
That's it — everything the console does now uses the VPN.
A note on online gaming
VPN encryption naturally results in a stricter NAT type on consoles (often 'Type 3'/'Strict'). Streaming apps and downloads are unaffected; some multiplayer party features can be limited. If you need specific ports opened and have a static IP, contact support and we'll escalate to our network team.
