Manual VPN - Mac OS (iMac & MacBook)

Select Apple symbol top left and click System preferences.

 

 

Select the 'Network' option under internet and network.

 

Select the + sign 

 

Select the interface to reveal the drop-down menu and select the VPN option.

 

 

If you are running the latest version of MacOS you will only be able to set up an L2TP connection.  The VPN type should be changed to L2TP over IPSec and enter a service name for your VPN connection(anything you want) and create.

 

 

Enter server address l2tp.mysetup.co.uk  (please note that this is an L not a 1 in the server address), then enter your account username and tick show VPN in the status menu bar, then select authentication settings.

 

 

Enter your account password and the shared secret which is 953783903 and then select OK.

 

 

This will take you back to the main configuration screen and select advanced.

 

 

Make sure that the send all traffic over VPN connection box is ticked and select OK.

 

 

Select OK, then click Apply and then connect.

 

You are now connected

To connect and disconnect you can click the below icon in the task menu bar.
