If your VPN Router won't connect and your broadband is Virgin Media, the usual cause is the Virgin Hub blocking VPN traffic (PPTP/L2TP passthrough disabled, or a strict firewall mode).
-
On a device connected to the Virgin Hub's own WiFi, open a browser and go to 192.168.0.1.
-
Sign in with the password on the Hub's sticker.
-
Open Advanced settings and look for VPN passthrough / PPTP & L2TP passthrough (location varies by Hub model) — switch them on.
-
While there, check the Firewall isn't set to a maximum/strict mode.
-
Save, let the Hub restart, then power-cycle the VPN Router.
Note: Hub in Modem Mode? Passthrough settings don't apply — check the firewall on whatever router sits in front of our VPN Router instead.
